Fall Collection Events 2018

PRC is proud to host collection event to help residents responsibly dispose of items that are dangerous to place in curbside trash or recycling. As summer winds down, don’t forget to clean out your household chemicals and electronics before the the end of our collection event session!


Household Chemical Collections

Individuals can drop off automotive fluids, household cleaners, pesticides, paints and other household chemicals for a cost of $3/gallon (a few exceptions apply), cash only. New in 2018: Collections will accept smoke detectors for a fee of $3/each. All events run from 9 am to 1 pm.

Hard to Recycle Collections

Individuals can drop off “e-waste” such as computers, cell phones, printer/toner cartridges, CFLs and expandable polystyrene packaging material at no cost.

For a fee, individuals can drop off alkaline batteries, televisions, computer monitors, fluorescent tubes, small Freon appliances and tires. All events are in Allegheny County and run from 9 am to 1 pm.

ReuseFest

Residents are invited to drop off their gently used materials to be reused by local non-profit at ReuseFest! This fall’s ReuseFest will take place on Saturday, September 8th 2018 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M at St. Margret’s Hospital Parking Lot.

Drug Take-Back Day

Safely dispose of your old prescription drugs, expired over-the-counter medications, and other pharmaceuticals with PRC! PRC is partnering with PA American Water to host three drop-off locations as part of the Drug Enforcement Agency’s (DEA) National Drug Take Back Day!

On Saturday, October 27, from 10AM – 2PM, bring your unwanted and expired medications to the following locations be responsibly managed at no charge:
