Start the School Year with PRC!

School is back in session and students across the Commonwealth are back in the classroom learning geometry, literature, and…worms?

PRC has been working with schools across Pennsylvania for over five decades, providing innovative and engaging environmental programs on topics ranging from birds and stream life to recycling and litter to worm composting and watershed protection! These dynamic programs include hands-on activities designed to educate students about critical environmental issues and inspire them to be lifetime environmental stewards.

In the Watershed Awareness Program, students will learn about watersheds, the water cycle and how humans impact their local watersheds as well as how they can protect their local watershed.

In the Stream Health Program, students will test chemical and biological properties as well as collected macroinvertabrates of a local pond or stream to determine the water quality and health as well as strategies to protect or improve water qualities.

In the Environmental Health Program, middle and high school students learn about toxins and carcinogens in the environment as well as how to avoid exposure.

In the Recycling & Litter Awareness Program, students will learn the ins and outs of recycling and gain the skills to reduce litter and help the environment!

At the Recycling is Magic Show & Litter Magic Show assembly programs, a professional magician shows students the magic of recycling and protecting the planet!
