PRC Adopts Recycling Hotline

ZacOn July 1, 2016, PRC took over operations of the PA Department of Environmental Protection’s Recycling Hotline. The hotline was created as a collaboration between PRC and what was then the Department of Environmental Resources for the first Recycling Month back in October of 1984.  The hotline continues to offer residents of Pennsylvania a resource to get answers to their recycling related questions.

Pennsylvanians are invited to call the Recycling Hotline at 1-800-346-4242 to find convenient recycling options for electronics, household chemicals, tires, televisions and more. The Hotline is operated every weekday from 9AM-4:30PM. All after hours calls are returned the following business day to be sure no question goes unanswered.

To ensure all questions are answered effectively, efficiently, and enthusiastically, PRC invited Zachary Bacon to join our Western Office in June of this year. Zac comes to PRC with a degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Pittsburgh and has much experience working with a variety of non-profits. Zac has a passion for educating the public, keeping waste out of landfills, and promoting environmental sustainability.
