Zero Waste PA Awards Celebration
Celebrate the recipients of the 3rd Annual Zero Waste Event and Business Awards! These events and businesses have worked hard to divert and minimize materials in their commitment to achieving Zero Waste.
PRC is privileged to recognize those who recognize those who adopt and utilize strategies to achieve Zero Waste including waste avoidance, reuse, recycling, and composting. By sponsoring these awards, PRC hope to encourage the region to implement Zero Waste techniques and principles to reach over 90% diversion!
Applications are now being accepted for the 2017 year. The 3rd Annual Zero Waste Event and Business Awards will present awards in two distinct classes.
- Zero Waste Achievement Awards for any event or institution that has diverted a significant percentage of their waste in 2017.
- Zero Waste Excellence Awards for exemplary dedication to the principles of Zero Waste.
Come celebrate the recipients of the 2016 Zero Waste Event and Business Awards! These events and businesses have worked very hard to divert over 90 percent of their materials! By sponsoring these awards, the Pennsylvania Resources Council hope to encourage the region’s communities to continue reducing their waste, practice waste avoidance, and use zero waste techniques and principles to reach over 90% diversion!
Applications are now being accepted for the 2016 year. This regionally recognized program will highlight and celebrate events, schools, organizations, and business that have taken the strides to move toward zero waste in Western Pennsylvania.

Each winner will receive:
- An award made exclusively by the PRC
- Media recognition of their program and award
- Recognition and full description of the event or business’ Zero Waste Journey
Please submit your application no later than February 10, 2017 by 5:00 p.m.
Registration for the Zero Waste Event and Business Awards will close when maximum capacity is reached.
