In celebration of Earth Day 2026, Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) offers three suggestions for going “green” this spring — and solidifying a commitment to protecting the environment every day of the year.
PRC, a statewide environmental organization dedicated to the vision of a Pennsylvania where nothing is wasted, stewards material resources and waste minimization to conserve water, air, energy, and land.

#1 RESPONSIBLY RECYCLE ELECTRONICS
PRC hosts electronics recycling collections to provide residents with a convenient and cost-effective method of responsibly disposing televisions, computers and other electronic equipment.

#2 DIVERT WASTE FROM LANDFILLS BY COMPOSTING
Approximately 30% of your waste stream is compostable, so gather kitchen scraps, yard debris and other organic matter and turn it into a valuable resource for your lawn and garden. CLICK HERE to learn more about composting.
