June 30th Glass Recycling at Threadbare

Looking for a place north of the city to recycle your glass? We’re very pleased to announce a special PRC Pop-Up Glass Collection sponsored by Threadbare Cider and Mead, this Sunday June 30th from 11:00 am-3:00 pm.

Register here for this FREE event, bring any glass bottles, jars, or jugs you’ve been storing to the Cider House location in the Northside, and receive a cider on the house for your recycling efforts! Like all PRC Glass Pop-Ups, this event is free but registration is requested to manage traffic flow in the Threadbare parking lot.

Allegheny CleanWays will be running the show at this event, so please remember to check them out and support the amazing work they do to combat litter and keep our communities clean. In addition to your cider and a lovely atmosphere, why not check out Threadbare Cider’s brunch offerings while you’re there?

When recycling glass at a PRC Pop-Up Glass Collection, it is always best to bring your glass loosely placed in a box or bin if possible rather than plastic bags. No need to remove lids or sort by color. The glass will go to our partner CAP Glass in Mt. Pleasant, PA who will sort it and prepare it for glass mills right here in Pennsylvania and the Eastern USA. For more information about PRC’s Glass Recycling Program, visit www.prc.org/glassrecycling.
