CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR MAY 10 COLLECTION EVENT
PRC will host an electronics recycling collection event in May in Delaware County to provide residents with a convenient and cost-effective method of responsibly disposing of televisions, computers and other electronic equipment.
The e-waste collection will take place on Tuesday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rose Tree Park, 1671 N. Providence Road, Media, PA 19063 (entrance on Route 252).
“PRC provides residents across the commonwealth with opportunities to conveniently and cost-effectively dispose of a wide variety of materials not accepted in curbside pickup,” according to PRC Executive Director Darren Spielman. “For the health of our communities, it’s important to divert these materials from landfills as many contain toxic elements that can leach into our waterways or introduce dangerous toxic chemicals into our environment, while others contain valuable recyclable materials.”
FEE STRUCTURE
- At no cost, individuals can drop off cell/home phones, computer towers and peripheral equipment (keyboards, laptops, mice, etc.), video game consoles/DVD players and vacuum cleaners.
- For a fee, individuals can drop off televisions, computer monitors and printers.
Participants must register in advance at prc.org/delcocollection or by calling 610-353-1555 x3.
This weekday e-waste collection event is sponsored by Fox Rothschild LLP in partnership with Delaware County Parks, Delco Sustainability and Covanta Environmental Solutions.
