National and local films showcase earth and adventure as country’s largest environmental film festival stops in Pennsylvania during nationwide tour

On Thursday, October 15, the country’s largest environmental film festival will make a stop in Pennsylvania during its nationwide tour when the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) hosts the “Wild & Scenic Film Festival” as a virtual fundraiser to benefit the commonwealth’s oldest grassroots environmental organization.

“PRC is excited to present the Wild & Scenic Film Festival for a sixth consecutive year with an exciting new format this year that will enable us to reach film fans living throughout Pennsylvania,” according to PRC Environmental Coordinator Stacy Albin.  “This online, virtual event will feature a series of thought-provoking and breathtaking local and national short films exploring the protection and restoration of wild lands and waters, food systems, climate change, biodiversity, litter prevention and other global issues.”

In addition to showcasing the nation’s premier environmental and adventure film festival presented by South Yuba River Citizens League, the 90-minute event will feature interactive chat to encourage Pennsylvanians to become inspired to take action in their own communities after witnessing how individuals and communities around the world are taking action.
