Rain barrels will be provided to the first 50 registrants.

In order to receive a rain barrel, you must attend the webinar and be able to pick-up the rain barrel the day after the webinar from 4 – 6 PM at the location indicated.

Webinar and rain barrels are provided free of charge through grant funding from the PA DEP Growing Greener Grants Program.

Upcoming Webinars:

June 6 with rain barrel pick up June 7 in Morton: Register Here

Description: Rain barrels are a great way to conserve water. They supply non-chlorinated water for gardening, connecting to your downspout to collect and store rain water from your roof that would otherwise be lost to runoff and diverted to storm drains, streams and rivers.

Register for this webinar to learn about the problems associated with stormwater run-off and learn watershed-friendly landscaping techniques and ways to conserve water in your home.

Participants in Southwestern PA will receive a FreeGarden RAIN 55-gallon rain barrel.

Municipal Solid Waste Topics

Audience: This webinar series is targeted at public administrators looking to better understand the role of municipal recycling in the circular economy. Though information in the webinar series is focused to Southwestern Pennsylvania, these webinars will be helpful for any local government administrators or officials that desire to understand industry dynamics behind glass recycling and how various drop-off collection programs can keep glass recycling active in your community.

For questions about this webinar series, please contact [email protected].

Please check back for additional webinar topics and dates.

GLASS RECYCLING

Description: Local government administrators and officials are increasingly faced with gaps in recycling service delivery, with glass recycling being one of the most salient changes today. We will discuss: Why is my community’s contracted hauler removing glass from our residential curbside contract? Is there really “no market” for glass containers? How can we as public administrators continue to offer quality collection services and sustainable management of these valuable materials?

Public administrators participating in this webinar will also be introduced to PRC’s services that municipalities may engage to implement glass recycling collections within their communities. PRC will provide details and associated costs for each of these programs, providing local government administrators and elected officials with the information needed to offer glass recycling collection services to their communities in 2020.

*Please note: A confirmation email will be sent with additional webinar details shortly after completing the registration form. Be sure to check your junk/spam folders if you cannot locate this email in your main inbox. Contact [email protected] if you have any issues.
