Rose Tree Summer Concert Series Goes Zero Waste

Delaware County Parks has partnered with the Pennsylvania Resources Council, made possible by a grant from the Cand’Aid Crush it Crusade, to help make the Rose Tree Summer Festival a Zero Waste Event!

Beginning June 15, the four-decades-running Summer Festival will return Wednesday – Sunday evenings from 7:30 – 9:30 pm at the Rose Tree Amphitheater. This popular community event features free concerts from Classical to Cajun, Motown to Broadway, Doo Wop to Rock & Pop, tribute shows and everything in between. For the first time, Rose Tree is expanding recycling throughout the amphitheater, and we are seeking volunteers to support the Zero Waste effort!

Volunteering at a Zero Waste Event is fun and easy. As a Zero Waste Goalie, you will receive a crash course on the ins and outs of recycling right through a pre-event webinar, and will help event-goers put their waste in the right place. This is a great opportunity to educate the public about Zero Waste, while attending a fun event!  Volunteers will be asked to commit to at least one 1.5-hour shift.

All volunteers who sign up will be invited to a quick pre-event webinar on Recycling Right on Tuesday night at 5 pm the week of their volunteer shift. This information will also be emailed out on Tuesday- the webinar is optional!

Anyone can volunteer! Minors must be accompanied by a volunteer, or teams or youth groups must be accompanied by a chaperone.
