PRC has a long and accomplished history stewarding resources to prevent waste and conserve the environment, in pursuit of a Pennsylvania where nothing is wasted.
We have diverted nearly 18 million pounds of materials, ensuring they are reused, recycled, or safely managed. We divert household hazardous waste, electronic waste, tires and other hard to recycle items, as well as glass and other regular recyclables, food waste, and reusable goods that we direct to other nonprofit organizations.

Along the way, we led the charge to enact Act 101 — the then groundbreaking legislation that established recycling across the state — and helped to found pivotal organizations and initiatives such as Keep America Beautiful, Lady Bird Johnson’s Beautification Act, Scenic America, Green Building Alliance, Delaware Valley Green Building Council, Construction Junction, Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful, PA Recycling Markets Center, Pennsylvania Environmental Council, and the Southwest PA Glass Recycling Collaborative.
