  • August 1 — McKeesport Area High School, Allegheny County     registration opens in summer
  • August 22 — Boyce Park Ski Lodge, Allegheny County     registration opens in summer
  • September 26 — Settlers Cabin Wave Pool, Allegheny County     registration opens in summer

Acceptable Materials & Associated Fees

FEES CHARGED TO RECYCLE MATERIALS

Materials Collected for a PER-ITEM FEE

  • $2 per 4′ light tube ($4 per 8′)
  • $5 per printer
  • $5 per microwave
  • $5 per powered lawn care tool (weed whacker, leaf blower, hedge trimmer, garden shear, non-riding lawn mower)
  • $6 per car tire no rim ($14 with rim) — oversize tires subject to additional fees
  • $10 per small Freon appliance
  • $20 per computer monitor
  • $35 per television (flat screen or CRT)
  • $45 per television (projection/console)
  • Hard Drive Data Destruction Verification – 1st drive $11
  • Hard Drive Data Destruction Verification – each additional drive after 1st is $3 each

Participant Fee

$5 fee per car charged for UNLIMITED DISPOSAL of the following materials:

  • Batteries
  • Bulbs
  • Cable boxes, cords and cables
  • Computer equipment including CPU (towers), laptops, mice, keyboards, tablets and UPS
  • Copiers and scanners
  • DVD Players, VCRs and stereos
  • Phones (home & cell)
  • Servers, routers and modems
  • Shredders
  • Styrofoam blocks
  • Toasters and blenders
  • Video game consoles

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, we take televisions of all sizes.  Our fees are $35 for televisions. For rear projection or console TVs, the fee is $45. To see our complete list of fees, refer to the Acceptable Material & Associated Fees section on this page.

We accept all forms of payment: cash, check, credit and debit cards.

Yes. The event is a drive-through event, participants are asked to stay in the vehicle at all times. We work alongside volunteers on site to unload materials from all participant vehicles.

The line shuts at 1 pm, and everyone who is in line by 1 pm will have their materials unloaded.
