Glass Recycling Collaborative
The Glass Recycling Collaborative of Southwestern PA is a partnership between municipalities in Allegheny County and the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) that provides reliable, uninterrupted glass recycling access.
Installation of permanent blue recycling bins enable residents to drop off all colors of glass bottles, jars and jugs. All glass collected is hauled by Michael Brothers to CAP Glass in Mt. Pleasant, Pa., where it is sorted and prepared for use by regional glass product manufacturers.
The collaborative is partially funded by a PA Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) recycling grant held by Dormont Borough.
