Traveling Glass Recycling Bin to Visit Allegheny County Parks in 2024

Throughout 2024, PRC’s Traveling Glass Recycling Bin will visit eight Allegheny County Parks.

Individuals can drop off glass bottles, jars and jugs of all colors from 7 a.m. to sunset. No color sorting is required. Containers should be empty and rinsed, with lids and labels still on. Bags and boxes used to deliver glass must be discarded off-site.

February 10-15 @ BOYCE PARK, Ski Lodge Parking Lot, 901 Centerview Dr, Plum, PA 15239

April 13-18 @ SETTLERS CABIN PARK, Park Office Parking Lot, 635 Ridge Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15205

May 18-23 @ ROUND HILL PARK, Main Parking Log, 651 Round Hill Rd, Elizabeth, PA 15037

June 8-13 @ DEER LAKES PARK, Veteran Shelter Parking Lot, 1090 Baileys Run Rd, Tarentum, PA 15084

July 13-18 @ HARTWOOD ACRES PARK, Amphitheater Overflow Lot, 4100 Middle Rd, Allison Park, PA 15101

August 10-15 @ SETTLERS CABIN PARK, Park Office Parking Lot, 635 Ridge Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15205 (second engagement at this location)

September 7-12 @ WHITE OAK PARK, Chestnut Shelter, 2632 McClintock Rd, White Oak, PA 15131

October 5-10 @ NORTH PARK, Swimming Pool Parking Lot, S Ridge Dr, Allison Park, PA 15101

November 9-14 @ SOUTH PARK, VIP Lot, Corrigan Drive and 100 Acres Drive

PRC’s Traveling Glass Recycling Bin Program is sponsored by Owens-Illinois, Inc. and CAP Glass and is made possible through a partnership with Michael Brothers Hauling & Recycling. The collection sites at the county parks are made possible through a partnership with the county’s Parks Department and its Sustainability Office.
