#3 PROTECT WATERSHEDS BY USING RAIN BARRELS
Healthy watersheds are essential to the ecosystem and human health.
Learn about watersheds — and how to use a map to identify your own watershed — by checking out PRC’s new blog, “What’s Up, Watershed?” In the April edition, PRC illustrates how watersheds work and explain how that spring rain falling on your roof connects you to places both near and far.
Attend a PRC Watershed Awareness & Rain Barrel workshop to discover how to harvest rainwater from your roof, store it in a barrel, and use it in the landscape. Learn about stormwater runoff problems and learn techniques to reduce watershed pollution. The $80 course fee includes a 55-gallon rain barrel.
