The results are in! This year’s winners of the Gene Capaldi Lens On Litter photo contest have been announced. This contest is designed to raise awareness of the litter problem across Pennsylvania. All the pictures are taken in the state and our six winners are all committed to cleaning up litter when they see it.
In the adult category the 1st place winner is Ely Roselius, from Coraopolis. Her entry “The Ugly Ducking” was a definite favorite of all the judges.
Second place went to Deneen Underwood, a Carnegie resident who submitted “The Root of the Problem”. She also reported a cleanup of the area.
Third place went to Colin Xu, a Philadelphia resident, who sent us “Fly Eagles Fly”. A familiar sight of many a sports fan after a rally.
In the student category the 1st prize goes to Kaitlin Shields a resident of Moon, who submitted “Littersburg”. A sad view of a beautiful city.
Second place was awarded to Madison France, from Osterburg, Her photo “Litter Bug” was a clever take on our icon.
In 3rd place Josh Milteer, from Bridgeville, sent us “Next Stop Contamination”. He took the photo and cleaned up the area on Halloween Night 2018. So, no tricks just treats.
